I have had my innovate wideband MTX-L for about 3 months now - it has worked amazing so far until this week. Whenever I go into power enrichment the wideband will read the correct 11.7 then shoot up to 22.4 and stay there for a good minute or so. Would this be a issue with the gauge it self or the bosch sensor? I am going to email Innovate about this; however, I dont even know what to say is wrong. Curious if anyone has any info or ideas...

Oh and its not the tune as the car doesnt even flinch when the WB reads 22.4. I would assume if I was actually running a 22.4 I wouldnt have pistons left.

They make low quality product which appears to have regular quality control issues.

A quick google search confirms it.

    Google "NTK AFX issues".

I'm running an lc1, your wideband probably just needs to be calibrated again. The innovate wb needs to be calibrated every so often.

    They fail and are inaccurate.

No amount of calibration will fix the poor quality electronics.

Ya I've heard that a lot about most wb under $500. Matt what do you suggest for a wideband?

    NTK AFX.

If you google "NTK AFX issues", you will just find people having issues with other widebands with others recommending the AFX.

    NGK Powerdex AFX Wideband Kit

I think there was another reputable site selling these kits for $250+ shipping as well.

By the way op, try the calibration as its likely the sensor. If you want to get a new sensor they are the same one that came stock on an turbo Volkswagen, I got the one for a 01 gti 1.8t iirc

Tried this. I am going to get under there sometime this weekend and see if the sensor is loose... or something stupid. Then ill email innovate about it. I bought this one because the reviews on it were great, so I figured it would work out well.

It does work and is inexpensive which is why I got it. Serious tuners don't like them and say when they put the more expensive/better ones in the read differently. I did notice when I was trying to calibrate it with my hpt that the gauge and tuner would never read the same and I was very hard to get them to match up.

I needed it to tune for E85 and it has worked amazing up until now. Innovate said the gauge would work great with the e85 and even have a way to change it to e85 mode. Do you think I have a bad sensor? If so, I hope innovate honors their warrantees.

E85 mode is a waste of time.

Your stoich changes all the time, thus the correction factor they apply to go from lambda (which is what these sensors read) to AFR, will almost always be wrong.

Likely you have a bad controller or wiring.

That sensor was the same one they used in the NTK AFX for the longest time. Only difference was the controller.

Ok. Thanks. I will check out the harness when I get time to jack the car up. I have it in gas mode never bothered changing it. Just calibrated it. Thanks for all the help.
