    well debating on what i want but dont know enough about tires to get the job done. If i was to replace my current set would i try and get the original sizes of the wierd gxp tires or can i go 8" all the way around? What would look good? School me people

    iirc, they needed to have two different sizes to keep the car from torque steering to badly.

    yeah but whats the point of smaller width in the rear? Seems you only need more rubber in front to compinsate for the tourqe steer.

    Probably steering. Less rubber =less grip, so corners don't seem to boat like

    Or the same reason old mopars and stuff had huge rear tires and small front ones.

    Me personally. I wouldn't touch the sizes, it took them a lot of research and development time to make a fwd v8 not torque everywhere, and the tire sizes are one of the main components in that

    i think the front tires are the only thing going on there,

    they are different sizes to attempt trying to keep a front heavy FWD car from understeering like crazy. bet it still does, though.


    buy the same size tire all round if you want. the better option is to find another 2 of the 8" wide wheels so you can have the same size wheel and tire all around the whole car.
