I have a 98 GTP. As of last week my temp gauge keeps going way up to about 210 while sitting still, then when I start driving it will drop back down to 190 ish or lower. I'm not sure what could have changed. My cooling fans are spinning. Do I possibly need a coolant change? Or maybe a thermostat problem?

Or maybe the car is working like it should?

Your not moving, no air flow across the rad, temps rise.

You can change the coolant and thermostat if you want, but thats purely a state of mind thing.

I'm not too mechanically inclined so that's why I'm asking here. I'm aware that's how it works, but the temp is going up a lot faster than it used to. Just looking for input
