    so im doing my valve cover gaskets in the next few days.. any tips or heads up to speed up the job or to watch out for..

    jus so we understand lol this is the first vc job im gonna do by myself.. id rather it be only me working under the hood

    New gasket and grommets and away you go.

    Its pretty straight forward, take your time, clean it up good and you'll be fine.

    for the rear, does the alternator have to be remvoed?

    Yes it does. And if you own a supercharged car, the MAP/bracket and EVAP thing will come off aswell.

    Its only a few more steps but nothing hard.

    97 and 98 don't need the alt bracket removed because racekar.
    98 GTP modded 1.9's, sd headers, 3.4", zzp 1.0 230K miles scrapped.
    04 Comp G zzp stb's, UMI ta's, Speedbuilt sways, bully flo heads, XP, zzp headers, fsic, thrasher shift kit, 60#, 2.6" corsa 2.5", Inferno hood
    01 gt z7 turbo tep trans zzp motor
    08 g8 gt cam exhaust 11.87@118
