I changed the fuel level sensor on my 2001 grand prix, now she wont start. I replaced my last grand prixs sensor and i thought i did everything the same except today i had the car running and pulled the fuel pump fuse, last time i pulled it and just tried to start the car...
But it doesnt seem like im getting any fuel at the rails now. The pump will kick on when you cycle the key but only run for about 5 to 7 seconds then turn off. I took off the line right after i "primed" the fuel pump and i didnt even get any fresh fuel meaning the pump isnt working..
Where did i mess up or what going on? I checked all my ignition fuses and fuel fuses in the engine compartment and they were fine.
I replaced it wit Dorman part number 911-008. its not the supercharged 3.8.. everything plugged in fine. the car obviously ran before this, i was just fixing the stupid level for the gauge.

    any help???
replaced fuel pump relay, no help.. no security light on either

Check your hose connections. I don't think it's possible to hook them up ...maybe one popped off the supply etc.

The obvious thing would be the smell of gas and or it on the ground.

How about the electrical. You sure that you hear the pump? If that's good..then I'd think maybe your pump took a dump when you disturbed it.
