When I first bought my car I noticed that while I could lower the rear driver-side window from the driver switch, I couldn't raise it. My first thought was a weak motor, however from the rear driver-side controls I can't lower the window, but it raised no problem.

That was in February. Now it just doesn't work.

I'm not horribly concerned, but would like to fix it at some point, however considering its odd functionality before it failed I'm wondering what exactly needs fixed. I was thinking the switches were bad, but both having the opposite issues for the same window seemed unlikely, so I'm thinking motor or wiring. Does anyone know for sure?

As wierd as it sounds it still makes me think the master switch is bad, seeing as how all the power passes through it IIRC. If it goes wonky then it would cause the rear switch issues as well. Might be time to break out the multimeter and check for power at the master switch and at the window motor itself.

yeah i vote for a new master drives side door switch. if the back window switch works then the master is bad.

i had my child lock go bad and all the doors had no power at their switches due to it. except for the d/s door had full control of all the windows.

I'll check it tomorrow. The rear switch only raised the window, it wouldn't lower it. Now neither does anything. So if the master switch checks out good, what then?
