Re: Bogging, Hesitation, Hard shifts
i have a similar issue but mine does it on rare and random occasions, it actually used to slip often as well and used to do bog/hesitate more often before i tightend my trans/engine mounts cause they ended up being lose, but bogging/hesitation is still here and restarting the car fixes the problem all the time, iv tried everything and nothing works for me either, so hopefully u figure out whats wrong cause i know how much of a pain this sh1t is

Re: Bogging, Hesitation, Hard shifts
well ill get the MAF and wires tested first i guess before thinking of any transmission rebuilds, I dont see how restarting the car could fix a mechanical issue like a sticking valve body or a transmission pressure issue, and the tranny runs perfectly fine after restart, cold or hot,
Re: Bogging, Hesitation, Hard shifts
*Final Update*
Finally took my car to a transmission shop for them to inspect it, They said there was a worn passage in the valve body that caused pressure to drop leading to premature failure of the 2nd and 3rd clutch, They offered $800 to put it back with nothing fixed, Or $3500 for a full rebuild. I went with the full rebuild, Seems high to me but after calling around most shops are in the 3000+ range where i am. The rebuild also includes a shift kit and a 4 year unlimited mile warranty that's good nation wide. it sucks but at least it wont be an issue anymore.
Re: Bogging, Hesitation, Hard shifts
I had similar symptoms to that when I had a clogged cat. That was all sorts of odd...
Re: Bogging, Hesitation, Hard shifts
yeah i considered it being a clogged cat, But car only has 150000 kms /93205 miles, And its never ran rich for an extended amount of time or had excessive coolant or oil burning issues. Whats funny tho is i got the car back yesterday and after forking out $3500 it started shifting funny again on my way home from work. Im going to wait a week to see how often it does it, maybe the PCM has to relearn shift points or something. Im not to concerned, its fully covered by warranty, so any issues and they will take it out and apart again to see what they missed.
Re: Bogging, Hesitation, Hard shifts
FINALLY FIXED
So after close to 6 months of dealing with this issue its finally gone. spending over $4000 on sensor changes and any other "guess" to what it could be, plus a full transmission rebuild...turns out the problem was the TCC sticking which was corrected by a simple PCM upgrade.
Reference number 04-06-04-078, Anyone with similar issues just drive down to your gm dealer and get them to check for any updates for your PCM and put them in. If you go to a transmission shop like i did, you might end up paying for a rebuild you probably did not need :th_skull:
Re: Bogging, Hesitation, Hard shifts
******* that took a long time haha, my problem is still here as well, how much did the upgrade cost u?
Re: Bogging, Hesitation, Hard shifts
depends on where you live, mine was 79, should be under 100 for sure tho.
