2001 Pontiac grand prix non supercharged 3.8 . I had a maf low circuit code p0102.. The rpm gauge would fluctuate at start up and If you tapped on the sensor itself the car would want to shut off.

I found a old maf senor I had from a 98 regal supercharged and installed it in my 2001 Pontiac grand Prix..I have not driven it much but so far it hasn't idled rough at start up like previously, and the code hasn't came back yet.... Would this be wise to do?

For the 98 and my 2001 it is two different design Maf sensors but they bolt up the exact same.....

Also My Mal indicator light does not work and I get a po650 code...I'm not sure if It could be bulb..wiring etc.

I know its a fault with the Malfunction indicator indicator system..Maybe the light bulb is bad..(it doesn't work). I hope that's all it is..but it could be the system or computer....
