I just read this. Someone posted it on youtube

    *IMPORTANT NOTICE*
if you purchace a grand prix with a supercarger do not i repeat do not rev it up in neutral. one of my connecting rods blew and it is quite expensive to repair it. so do not rev it in neutral or go down the highway in any other gear than overdrive. this is an important warning any please take my advice.

Btw this is where i got the text from. Damn this exhaust sounds bad.

Also when I pop the car into neutral, if i give it gas emedietly, it will tug at me. As if it was still in gear and then letting out.

If I wait about 5 seconds it will then allow me to rev it in neutral....

Hmm if that was true I probably would have found out the hard way by now. Given it probably isn't the best for your engine, I don't think you're going to do any damage like that unless your engine already had something wrong with it in the first place.

I have revved my engine in neutral many times. I haven't had any problems....

It's not any worse than taking it down the quarter mile.

i know. when you drive it down the road getting on it its reving AND taking all the stess of pulling the car along. i dont see how free reving would hurt it if it can take that.

It does, and it's not good to bounce off the limiter since it pulls fuel to keep the RPMs down. Good way to get some knock.
