Just trying to get some ideas...I know a bunch of you guys are Top Swapped Im trying to figure out which kit is a better setup since i really cant afford the cartuning turbo kit . Either way i want to boost my car. I was reading about the ZZP kit and, and it seems they mod the s/c to fit onto the L36 head, im guessing it would make it harder to get a ported gen 5 blower on my L36. Also noticed it would be a bit more pricey to go with a setup like the W-body store. Wondering if i should just go and find the parts myself from a junkyard, or Ed Morrad, or classified's and just build my own kit with the Gen 5blower. How did some of you go about this? Also trying to figure out what tranny mods i would need to support all the added power? Should i expect to spit some gears with my stock trans as is?

^^^ X2, but do a lot of research, there is a lot of changes to make a top swap work right... It was 3 months after I put the M90 on that I first got to put the belt on (without endangering the internal engine)

Ed Morad sells all the top swap parts you need for $700. The ZZP kit is the most expensive when all is said and done, but the top swap is a more difficult install. Choose your poison.
