Ok new halfshafts and hubs and new tires, all vibrations are gone!!! New problem is when i put car in reverse it clunks, so is this a bad shaft out of the box or was the bad shafts masking the other problems of bad mounts??? Only does it in reverse and the sound sounds like splines lighning back up but when installing the shafts the splines where good and tight thats what brings me to this. Ive done some reading on old post but just asking again, i have already done some things in posts that i have read but ive not experianced any sound like this in any car i have worked on but this is front wheel drive too, soooo its a little new to me so im in the learning curve.

I'd lean towards bad motor mounts or something is loose and hitting when you go in reverse.

Well today i found the problem!!! Learned a lesson too!!! The hubs i bought were the made in china kind, wont do that ever again! What was happening was the drivers side shaft was actually trying to strip the splines out i geuss the metal is real soft in the hub, and the axle is much harder material and it was rocking back and forth in splines when i shifted from fwd to reverse. I put the old factory gm hub back on and no more noise, i only changed it cuz it had a little movement but no noise, now i know its not gonna last but it will make it till i get some good hubs. How fast do you think it will start making noise? Cuz it came off of passenger side now its on drivers side so now its turning the other way. Still got a china hub on pass side but no noise from that side but im gonna change it too. Just thought i would share about my mistake and lesson learned today.

They may never make noise, but be a smidge loose like they are now. But you never know.

Just drive on them till you want to replace them again.
