It'll be bad for the 5 blocks..not so horrible.
BTW last night I pulled bolts off that same flange. Tapped a 14mm on one and it ....came out. Then tapped a 13mm on the other and it .....also came out. Looking at them I didn't think they would.

I got a feeling if I could have soaked them with blaster and tried one of the stud puller sockets I had to use on a cpl header studs I might have gotten them out gotta kicker for ya though
after drilling the new holes there was not enough room to place bolts into flanges so I called a muffler shop to see how much to just chop the old flange and weld me a new one
first he says well we can do away with the flanges and do a straight pipe to pipe weld. I said I didnt really want than just in case I end up with a leak in my DP and I need to re clamp anything. he than asks if I have a catalytic converter...I said No He tells me it is illegal in the state of Wi to do any work on a vehicle without a catalytic converter....so I ask if I could just buy the flange he says sure np just bring the one im mounting to it in and he will make sure the 2.25 he gives me fits it.
so I had father call in a favor at his construction business with some mechanics to weld the new flange on for me.
a 20min drive with nothing connected after the downpipe isn't going to damage anything?
whats the best way to bash the fire wall I was thinking jacking a 4x4 up into the lip while the car is still on jack stands to try to make room for the 02 sensor
this is something I should have thought of before I hooked everything up in the front but when people said it was a poor spot I didnt know it was an impossible spot
atm I have everything but dogbones subframe and DP bolted and banded so basically headers x-over plugs wires are all set
The way I do it.. and it might be written this way in my writeup is ... get rear in place..mark where the O2 will go..remove rear. Then bash.. then put rear back in.. test fit.. go again if needed.
I use an air hammer with blunt end on it. Takes some practice/talent..but I get it.
I popped a hole in the firewall with my air hammer doing that. It takes a steady hand lol
People do it w/o an air hammer. That's why I suggest getting the rear in place, marking where you need the room and then removing and doing the work.

it wasn't in the write up bill but your forgiven as it's only SD headers to my knowledge that are really a pain
heading to go pick up some wire coverings for my spark plugs and some wires to extend o2 harness hopefully I wrap her up today and just gotta get the weld done
