Hello I have an 05 grand prix and right around the antenna bolt leaks. How do I go about sealing it? I have some black RTV would that work? Also where do I seal it? Just around the bolt? Or the actual antenna itself?

I have the same problem. After a nice heavy rain, water starts leaking from the headliner lights and sometimes my liner has wet spots.

Take the headliner down and give it a shot, what else do you want us to tell you? Trial and error.

Remove the dome light and let the headlight down a little but you'll see the antenna. Remove it and clean the surface. Use black rtv go around the antenna. Install it back. Any rtv visible wipe it off. Done..don't over think things its really simple.

No problem it's a simple fix.. Did mine 4 years or so ago IIRC thats all I did. Of course wait for a day or two were it's not going to rain or keep it in the garage if possible.

Yup today i gave it a shot and used some water pump/thermostat sealant i had left over.Attempted to remove antennae but wasnt happening, so i just squeezed 3 separate layers of the stuff onto the antennae base where it sits on roof while wiping away excess and surprisingly it didnt rain today so it had all day to dry. Waiting for a good rain to see if I fixed the problem.
