I am wondering which exhaust manifolds flow the best, and that will fit on the 89 3.1 I have in the race car.

I don't know of many companies that work on the 60* V6s. Maybe Milzy has some.

But, from a friend who has the 3400 (shares most parts with the 3.1L), the 60* V6 manifolds are worse than our 3800 manifolds and don't offer much room to port.

Edit: Here, Milzy has some ported manifolds for the 3100 and 3400. Might want to e-mail him and double check they'll fit yours before ordering.

So pretty much all the stock manifolds are the same? If it just comes down to porting them, then I can do that myself and save me the 250$.

Between the 3100/3400, yes. I don't know if 3500/3900 manifolds are any better, or if they even fit. These are all 60* engines and most of our knowledge falls with the 3800 (90*). A good place to ask would be 60degreeV6:

TY for the info, and if I keep getting beat by the high dollar 4 cylinder cars I will be needing some of that 3800 knowledge cause I'm going to look into one of those. But for now I will just use what I have.

I believe the 3500 manifolds are as good as they come. The 3100/3400 manifolds suck. There is a header style 3500 manifold that came off of the 04 Malibu. That's what you want from what I have read. Here's a link to some people selling 3500 manifolds. Not sure if they're exactly what you need, but a PM to them would surely get you an answer.
