I would guess that if I pully up a size or two my car could possibly get better gas milage. Does anyone know this to be 100% true? (purchased my car with a small pully on it) Not lookin for "my buddy" stories, just first hand knowledge.

So if you have pullied down and lost gas milage that info would work just as well. How much did it change and how many pully sizes did you jump?

    Thanks,

    Mods?

    What pulley size?

What pulley size you gonna go up to?

And actually, you'll gain MPG's from flow mods and a solid WB tune, not really based on pulley size...

That's all your right foot's fault.

Mods? ::Cone filter, 1.9 rockers, headers, cat delete with full manderal bent 2 1/2 pipe, flowmatster DBX, ZZP off the shelf tune, and a 3.3(I know it's too small but I only see KR on really hot days)

    What pulley size? ::3.3

What pulley size you gonna go up to? :: down to 3.4 or 3.5(more than likly 3.4 if i won't gain anything goin any bigger)

And actually, you'll gain MPG's from flow mods and a solid WB tune, not really based on pulley size... :: Kinda what I was wondering

That's all your right foot's fault. ::After the speeding ticket I drive slow. Also I got a scanguage and have curbed my driving habits to optimize MPG. Best I get is 21.6 and thats a mix of highway and city.

Yeah, canned tunes run pretty piggy rich.

There is lots of head room you'll see once you pick up a WB and your face goes like this -->>> O_O

When you see it sitting at a solid 10.5:1, lol.

Look into lean burn cruise tuning as well...lots of good info out there if you planning on picking up tuning yourself down the road.

I'd also say a 3.5" is the best bet.

And why? Because I'd rather run a larger pulley with a leaner AFR and more ignition timing than a smaller pulley with a richer AFR and less timing.

    Then again, a 3.4" and a 3.5" won't make that much difference...but a 3.3" to a 3.5"...yeah, that'd help quite a bit.

Thanks. I live in the middle of nowhere in northern MI, so If i'm goinging to get a custom tune i'll have to do it myself... Was planning on a wideband soon to tune in my truck, its caburated so no computer involved there...lol then i'll put it in the grand prix to motivate myself into getting a programer...

once again, thanks for the information.
