I just installed a 720 watt Kenwood amp for my JBL GTO series speakers...they sound so weak compared to stock, or anyone's car audio I've ever heard. This is really disappointing due to the fact that I spend all of that money on the equipment, and the trouble of installing it. Anyone know what the problem could be?

I'm no audio guy, but it seems like something might not be installed correctly.

And on a side note, why is your avatar of some other guys car on here? lol

Also not an audiophile, but most likely its a wiring problem, unless the parts were used. I'm thinking you have a short some"wire".

Unless there is no sound at all, then it's probably an open circuit yo.

honestly kenwood amp is not really 720 watts...nowhere near that....and either u have a short or open circuit...1 question to ask...did u run the power wire on 1 side and the rca's on the other?

You'll have to go into more details on your setup and how things are connected. factory HU, deck install? RCA inputs or high level inputs? What are your cutoff FH's at, gain settings?

I have a JVC deck with two RCA's going to my amp, one for front, one for rear, and I have my gain set the highest without distortion...
