    The main caps on this block are cross bolted! This makes an extremely strong and rigid block - cross bolting is typically only seen on extreme competition engines!

    I bought some yesterday for 16.88, which I felt was reasonable for a dealer. I did not know about the cross bolting thing, learn

    Did that VHT gold for a guy here last year.

    We did the block, oil pan, and heads though.

    The cross bolts essentially make it a 4 bolt main engine. Moar=Good in that case.

    There is a torque + angle spec for those TTY bolts you know.

    still looking for the torque specs. I obviously took them out when i had it dipped and forgot. Never rebuilt one of these. That VHT paint is pretty good, im impressed with it.
