It's not typical. Think of the number of times you hear/see anyone suggesting to replace a booster or the check valve in the hose.
Good find.
Chuck, I was hunting for a large vac leak last night and had my finger over that hose.
I was pulling out my hair (if I had any left)
My intake was holding pressure, that's what was getting to me. I knew I didn't have a vac leak, but the darn O2 said I do.
I think everyone has a love/hate relationship with their car.
There's reasons why I call it... "my pile"
This is the very first time on this forum I've seen it be the booster instead of the check valve.
Simple check too. Start the car, let vacuum build up, turn off car and pull the hose off. You will hear the suction sound of the vacuum letting go. I feel good on one hand, the crap is off my shoulders. But I feel like an idiot all these months. grr Time to burn some rubber, that always puts a smile of my face.
This was a few years ago, more power has been added since then. :)
