my next mod is gonna be the pacesetter header package from zzp. Im just waiting for the cash to get it then i can have someone put it on along with my brand new slp dual cat back exhust sytem still sitting in the box in my room. Well whats ur guys input on that pacestter header package ? This is what i want to go with so is their anything i need to get or watch out for ? I do know that this package comes with crappy paper gaskets and i think theirs a need for longer bolts but im not really sure.

Also when i get the headers and i am ready to put it all on, well actully im gonna have someone else do it , well when i am ready to put the header package on, which is 450 at zzp and my slp dual cat back exhust should be everything i need and that should finish my exhust work? do i have to do anything else, Doing all this does that mean i dont need to do any deletes or anything ?

Get yourself the good GM metal gaskets...
The longer bolts you need are where the front header bolts to the crossover.

Yeah, all they do is give you what...
Pro-kit includes O2 extension, upgraded flange gasket, O2 bung plug, and matched piping for better sealing.
they might have most of it covered...but I don't think they do.

You're going to need better clamps. Get yourself some slip joint clamps, also called step clamps from NAPA. Get a couple long stainless bolts/nut/lockwashers from a hardware store, and you should be good.

Once thats done i can move onto my next steps into modding my allmighty gtp lol. Ill get some colder plugs probably autolite 104's and a tstat 180 then ill throw on a 1.0 pcm from zzp and then a 3.4 pulley

    Keep your receipt...

Everyone I know who has purchased one of those things, has sent it back for a refund. I'm even putting an engine in his car now because of what we believe to be caused by the pcm and fuel/timing.

Far be it from me to bash a vendor (right guys?) But I wouldn't do it. period.
Now, I'm not sure if DHP is selling PCM's anymore or not, someone can say for sure...I don't see them on the major sites....but they're tried, tested, and proven. I don't know what Zooomer has going on with his programming, but I and a few of my close buds aren't convinced yet that they should even be selling them all....

    ok, off my soapbox

Well if you really want to break it down....let's see.

    GM Gaskets...about $4 each maybe?
Bung Plug....again, only a few bucks from an exhaust shop
The exhaust clamps are going to run you about $7 each
Wire to extend the O2 harness....literally...just pennies right there. Cut, splice and ad about 20 inches to the current connector.
I got me a pipe expander at Harbor Freight....$13 and I did that part myself.

    up to you really.

Like I said....I'm just trying to give my "opinion", and you know what people say about those. I'm sure there are people here that have the ZZP ones....but I just haven't ever seen anything good about them on my experience.....Ultimately it's your money and your decision.

oh no its cool, Id rather get opinions and experiences then to find out the hard way.

so when you do get the pcm do u just replace it with the old one and is that it, or is their more to it ?

another option from expanding the pipe, is to make a few notches in the pipe no wider than the band clamp to help it seal better, that way when your tightening the clamp/pipes down they have room to contract

Overkill has had some pretty good feedback. All you really do for the pcm is unbolt the harness remove the old pcm and repeat backwards. Pretty straight forward. Sometimes you have to do a case learn if it wont start. I used to have a link for his website. Someone Chime In if you know it.

On expanding the pipe all you really do is stick a little cylinder inside it that expands as you turn it usually with a wrench. Kinda hard to explain if you've never scene it. Most exhaust shops have a hydrolyic version of this.

Oh ok thats pretty simple on the pcm. And ill probably go for the overkill instead of the zzp. Now i think im gonna go for a different route for a header. Its more expensive but it sounds alot better then the pacestter and i mean sounds alot better, by theirs better reviews and easier install. Its the slp headers ill copy and paste the link, It's rather expensive but ill be saving my money up till spring anyways. I think this package doesnt come with a dp, if it doesnt i think i would go for a random technology dp or a dp from zzp.
