    thinkin about doin headers and puttin in a thrush muffler on my 2000 gtp any suggestions i dont want it to sound like a civic with a coffee can muffler. also how difficult would the headers be
    dhp tune, sd lip, shiny stuffs, retros, gen 2 spoiler, gpo's, pregens

    Read the write up on the header install and see if you are up to the task. Get another person and it goes by alot faster and having an extra hand helps alot.

    No idea on how those mufflers sound. I dont really like any aftermarket mufflers on 3800's, most all sound like poo.

    Only decent sounding mufflers are borla, worth the coin. Keep the res or put a glass pack in its place. Thrush, magnaflow, Flowmaster, cherry bomb they all sound horrible above 2500 rpms. If you want a really good or decent tone cam the beeotch so you can get some good ole original choppiness with the headers.

    my dad has been a mechanic for 35 years now so im sure he can help plus we own a marina and we got the tools i was just wondering what it entails.
