2003 Grand Prix GTP running like crap. The OBD2 Code is P0336. I replaced the crankshaft sensor, to no avail. The RPM's fluctuate significantly & there is a lot of hesitation, it doesn't idle well and will occasionally stall.

my '98 gtp is scanning the exact same code... stalls when temp guage gets above the 1/4 hot level (i wait a few minutes and it will start/drive again, however, if you don't. wait long enough, it backfires and won't start).. i also lose my tach and my tcs light comes on (i presume i lose my traction control)...

i bought a new crankshaft positioning sensor in hopes that that might be it.

i haven't changed it out yet.

any updates as to what your trouble was and how you fixed it?

    thanks.

sounds like a big vac leak. get some carb cleaner and spray it around all your vac lines while the car is running, when the idle jumps up, you found you leak area.

Mine turned out to be a faulty wire going to the Crankshaft Sensor.
