Ok for the past week when i get off work i can not for the life of me get the fog off my front window. Defroster does not clear it . heat, or cold. The only thing that clears it is running the wipers. even when i open the windows to make the inside match outside temp does not help.

Tonight i got so pissed off because i had to pull over because i could not see i hit my window and it cracked.

What the hell am i missing.

Kind of sounds like thats the problem. Try facing the sun and see if it still looks foggy.

Hmmm... check Auto Zone/O' Reilly's/Advanced Auto and see if they have something you can spray on the window to help keep it from fogging up.

My 07 does that in the morning, i turn on the defrost on recirc and have the windows open, once the engine temp is on the rise I turn it to completely hot and it disappears very quickly.

you have a residue on the windshield (claybaring adds to it) get some 00 or 000 steel wool and a good glass cleaner

now that its getting colder at night ive noticed it a lot more, however once the car is up to temp just put the defroster on and it disappears within seconds.

Really? Never heard of that, must be a local thing. All the ones we replace just go right into the dumpster.

Good stuff for sure. You should try Binswanger Glass cleaner sometime if you have a location near you. Frigging amazing stuff and I'm not just telling you that because I work for Binswanger. We have cleaning companies come in and buy it by the case. It really is the best I have ever used and completely safe for any surface such as window tint.

If defrost wont clear it the pneumatic hoses under the passenger dash could be loose or not on. Therefore not allowing the doors in the hvac system to open and close in order to properly direct the air to the windshield.

    Just a thought.

Anyone know how to remove scratches from a windshield?
