Today I went to drive my GTP and realized it was shifting weird out of 2nd gear. Instead of shifting like, normal, it stayed around 3000-4000 rpms and didn't shift until i completely let off the gas. I decided to go faster and see if it would shift at a higher speed. As soon as I hit around 90 in second instead of shifting at redline it just kept revving and didn't shift. Is this a common issue with the GTP? Does anybody have any type of idea what it could be?

When was the last time a pan drop/filter and fluid change was done? When was your last tune up? If you have any ignition related or sensor issues they can effect the way the trans shifts. Simply cleaning the TB and MAF can sometimes fix it.

Other than that you may need to have this scanned by a code reader that can read the trans codes. And no, they do not set a check engine light so you may have some and not know it. Could be a bad shift solenoid, sticky 2-3 accumulator, valve body issue, etc.. Fill in some details and we can go from there.

I'm honestly not sure. I bought the car about a month ago with very little maintenance records from a friend. I haven't noticed any issues. But I'll get a scan done and try to get a code. Thanks a lot for the help man.
