So my engine was replaced (trans split in half, and apparently took the block with it) and now that the warranty is up I started tinkering under the hood and found some big disappointments.

First, the EGR wasn't connected, which I knew about because it had been deleted from the previous engine and there's no longer a connector for it, but not only was it not plugged in, they removed the block off plate from the exhaust and bolted on the new EGR. The EGR mount and the LIM-side hose had split in half. I cleaned it up and reinstalled block-off plates, but that was just my first issue.

Looking around, I found the pass. side upper engine mount was missing a bolt near the manifold, and was broken by the middle injector where the evap would mount. The UIM is missing a chunk around the bolt under the MAP. To top it off, I found oil residue in the throttle-body screen.

Frustrated, I dropped the hood and walked away. The car runs alright, but these things are damaging my calm. There's nothing unfixable, but is there anything else I should be looking for that might be related to or causing these problems, or is it a case of blind mechanic?

Also, since I have to replace the passenger side motor mount anyway, are there any options for a lower profile mount that doesn't swallow half the valve cover? Any advice here is appreciated.

If the shop did all that who replaced your motor, I'd go back and tell them to fix it. That's ridiculous of them to do that.

You can put on an L67 motor mount. It is still gonna cover the valve cover, but it's not gonna bolt to the LIM and make it hard to access.

    Looks like this:

It will utilize the 2 studs on the side of head. You will not need any extra pulleys either.

That's exactly what I'm looking for, thanks!

Any advice on the oil in the throttle body? I've never seen that before.

I'd pull the TB off and have a peak inside. My guess is the PCV valve is dumping oil in the intake. Unless that intake of yours is weeping oil in the engine.
