Can you supply some pictures of the broken arm? I've heard many of these and fixed a few where the spring pulled through. Most of the time it's an easy fix that requires time and effort, not a new unit.

I wasn't trying to help your issue, as we know you have it covered. Was trying to learn more. Thanks anyhow.. maybe get a pic when they pull it?

It is very common. However it's so easy to fix that most don't make much of a deal about it. It happens to nearly all of them and within an hour it's fixed. You appear to be making assumptions based on the lack of posting to your thread.

I fixed two 04+ in the six months. Both times it was quick and easy to fix them.

    Jory,
Any chance you remember the link you found for pulling and fixing your HUD unit? I've been digging and I remember seeing something a couple of months ago but now that I have the time I can't find the link.

Trying to fix one of the many issues cropping up on my 06 GXP. Seems the previous owner didn't take quite as good care of it as it originally seemed when I looked it over.

    Thanks

Fantastic! Thanks. I'll see about carving out some time next Sunday for this project.
