Hi guys. I just got my OBDII reader in the mail today, and was eager to test it out. I plugged it in to my 2003 GT's OBDII port and . . . nothing. The lights on the unit didn't even light up. To check if I had just bought a knockoff Chinese piece of garbage, I tried it out on our '04 Silverado and my brother's '02 GTP. It worked like a charm both times. My research thus far has brought me to the conclusion that I have either a faulty fuse (the cig lighter one, perhaps?) or some ignition switch problem. I'm trying to find a fuse diagram and part online, and am not having any luck. Anybody had this problem? Any suggestions?

open the glove box and pull the thing that covers the fuses, it should have a diagram of where each fuse is.

Then see if the cig light fuse it out.

It's in the glove compartment fuse box, not the under-hood?

Is that fuse for both cig lighters, or just the one right below the radio? And am I correct that that's also the one that controls power to the OBD port?

Yes...that's what you found in your research and that's what FFDP confirmed for you. Most likely when you check it, you'll find it's bad.

    Hope that helps

Thanks, guys. Very helpful. I'll pull swap that fuse and post the outcome.

Worked like a charm. That fuse was burnt to a crisp. Thanks again for your help.
