Got a 2004 GT I hear clicking behind the dash when I unlock the car and it last for 45 seconds to 2 minutes. Is it an actuator, and how do I get to it.

Also have a phantom coolant leak. Car runs hot, smell coolant but don't see it. No loss in power though.

about the coolant leak. its PROBABLY your lower intake manifold gaskets. they tend to go bad on our cars. but for the lulz check your coolant elbow as that likes to go bad as well.

    Already replaced the elbows....

Is there a way I can see the lower intake manifold? And how much is the job.

you can try too get a good view of the gaskets looking down the frond side of the engine, on the passenger side of the car. and it could cost anywhere from 40$+ depending on if you want metal lim gaskets(recommended), and the condition of your uim+gaskets and such. and if it is your lim gaskets, while you have the car stripped that far down, its and very good oppurtunity to replace the water pump and such.

lim gaskets really arent that hard if you have the right tools, and patience. there are good tutorials for it. but if you arent confident that you can do it, then a shop would be best. im not sure how much they would charge though.. my guess is maybe 300? im sure someone else would know better.

and here is a pic of the lim gaskets on the outside. u might see coolant around there if they were leaking, but not always. they can also leak strictly internally.

No leak and no smoke.... If the leak was internal wouldn't there be white smoke from exhaust? I had a pressure test and they said no leaks.... They said it was coming out of the resivor... but I don't believe it. Its super frustrating. Do you know anything about the clicking from the dash.... I think its a gear in the HVAC

im not sure about anything with the electrical interior really.. there would likely be white smoke, but not always. what color is your coolant? any brownish coloring to it? or is the oil dark and sludgy? and if its a small leak, u might not even notice the smoke. the lim gasket job is pretty easy, but if you aren't too familiar with the engine, than it could be pretty difficult.
