Bang for the buck, ported stocker is probably better since all you need is a dremel and JB weld. The N* is bigger though, and you'll need a MAF tune either way.

The max theoretical flow of a 68 mil TB is 550-600 cfm or so.

Thats what a gen V with a 3.4 will pull in.

So anything past that, larger throttle blade.

    Which is like a 3.1-3.2" on a GenIII blower...hence why I say...ported stocker.

Eh, I've never seen any evidence to suggest the gen III is that much worse, or how much better a gen V is or how porting a gen III affects it.

    Vendors won't share either.

    Lets use GPF math.

On that Matt, the best I can do is give you some unscientific messing around I've done. I ported the hell out of a Gen 3, smoothed and you name it. It helped, really did. Didn't compare with a Gen V though.

Tempwise the Gen V was about 100F cooler than a Gen 3 on the same run. Obviously different engines, both cars run the same though. Even if the airflow is the same (M90 to M90) the cooler charge should make up the difference.
I drink..so consider that when reading my posts.

Like Bill said, you can't even begin to compare a GenV to a fully ported GenIII.

    Get to researching, research man.

    You'll see what I mean.
