What do you guys think of this? Trying to make sure what I plan to do will work, if I need anything else, if I'm overlooking anything, etc.
Right now I have an 01 GTP, and a 98 GTP. The 01 GTP has a stock exhaust, and the 98 GTP is straight piped, just a cat and 12"ish cherry bomb, welded all the way back, (very recently bought it this way).
I have a set of speed daddy headers with downpipe. I also found someone local selling a ZZP 3" catback (no res/no cat -zzp mufflers), a 2.5" catless/bungless DP(stock), a 3" catless/bungless DP(for catback).
My goal is to get the 98 to close to stock sound levels, it's stupid loud right now. I eventually want to install the speed daddys in my 01 GTP.
My thought is to pick up the zzp catback, install that in the 01, and then I will put my stock exhaust into the 98. Will the 01's exhaust bolt right into the 98 no problem? I'm not sure I'm ready to attempt the headers myself, so I might pick up the 3" DP as well for a temporary, so I can just get the catback in the 01 and put the stock into the 98.
Do you see any problems with doing this?
