I have a 2002 Impala LS that I'm trying to get inspected in NY. It's throwing 2 codes, a P0135 and a P0327. I'm going to replace the oxygen sensor for the P0135, but I don't know how to diagnose and repair a P0327. This car is very high mileage and has a pretty major exhaust leak and the manifolds leak alittle when they're cold. I'm wondering if this could cause enough false knock to confuse the PCM into throwing a P0327?

Or the knock sensor is bad???

Could be a short in the wiring.

I don't know it's false knock. I'm trying to eliminate the idea of loud exhaust leaks/leaky manifolds causing false knock enough for the PCM to set a P0327. I am asking if that's something that is possible, or if it is definetly the knock sensor/wiring.

On both sides of the engine under the manifolds.

It's a CUMMINS Dodge not a Dodge Cummins

Thank you. Does anyone know if there is a procedure to test the sensor with a multimeter?

Bank 1 sensor 1 would be the front of the engine I'm hoping?

Nope. Between the oil pan and tranny is the one that will be bad. When you pull it... You will get drenched in coolant.
