2001 Grand Prix GTP killing MAF's

Hi all I just bought an 01 Grand Prix GTP. 121,000 miles.
I have codes

P0102 (Mass Air Flow (MAF) Circuit Low Input)
p0341 (Camshaft Position Sensor Circuit Range/Performance)

I started with the P0102. The car ran decent but had hesitations and shifted at odds times like one would with a bad MAF. Viewing the real time data on the MAF with my laptop it wasnt giving any feedback to the pcm. I bought a used MAF and threw it in and it made a huge difference, the car shifted great and just drove a lot better. A few hours later we took the car to go get ice cream and it throws the P0102 code again. This time the pcm is getting signal from the maf but it reading is lower than it was when i first installed it.

I haven't put a new cam sensor in it yet but it seemed to run fine with the new maf but i plan to replace it anyway.

My question is how to I test the MAF its self? Also what kind of test can I run on the maf plug with my ohm meter to check for resistance and volts. Im not sure on what wires are what.
I have been lookin all over the net and havent found anything, apparently these cars are known for maf issues.

There is talk that an oiled air filter could mess with the maf. try cleaning the throttle body real well but if you clean the maf itself use maf cleaner on it not brake clean or anything except maf cleaner. As far as how to test the plug I am not sure on that but GL P0102 can be a multitude of chit to chase down even could be a pcm or a battery cable in rare instances

No K&N here... The car is bone stock down to the paper filter. I was wondering what tests I could run on the wiring. I'm not sure what wires do what.

Ok here is what I got. On the MAF is has - +
A B C


(A) Has 5v
(B) Is grounded
(C) Has nothing

I'm assuming (C) needs 12v. Now my problem is where does this wire get its 12v from. I did a little searching and found this,

(C) is showing to go into the fuse box and should have 12v. Now I got to figure out why and where this wire is grounded out.

Yep I traced mine back to the under hood fuse panel and number 21 blew. So now I have power at the pink wire but i have a P0102 [pending]. This code pops up as soon as you turn it on even when I clear the codes. The car is back to driving great but im worried about this pending code not going away. I just took it on a 10 min drive and let it idle for about 10 min and nothing changed. I'm not real sure where to go from here.

The only thing you can do is wait and see if/when it comes back

how the wires look at the plug for the maf, they tend to dry up and crack, and throw a low input code if they are bad.

They look good to me. I took pics but they have the stupidest setup I have seen on a forum for posting pictures. I don't see how to delete other images so I can post more. I'm over my limit.

Well a little update.The maf code popped back up and it ran like ****, clear the code it ran fine untill it threw it again. The car has been sitting for a few weeks because I haven't felt like dealing with it but I think I might have fixed it. I made a trip to the junk yard and grabbed a cupple MAF pigtails and an other MAF sensor. I soldered on the new (used) pigtail and installed the MAF i picked up with it. I haven't driven it much yet but I now don't have a pending maf code. Now on to to the cam shaft position sensor.
