Ok I have a 98 gp gt and might possibly be buying a 97 gtp form a friend for the swap ( very cheap). Both have motor and trans but the 97 gtp has a horrible body and is rusted out. motor is in excellent shape as is the trans and also of course have the wiring harness and pcm for both. What would be my best approach to getting a supercharged 3800 in my 98 gt. If i do a motor swap i will just sell the na 3800 from my gt to recoup some of the money and just put the gtp motor in my car. But! I need to know if it's worth it to buy a car with a motor/trans and everything I need or just to buy a 3800 sc motor by itself for around 500 with no trans. is it best to get the gtp in case i need something from it? Or should my wiring harness in the gt work with the gtp motor? Also.. will the non HD trans in my gt hold up to the new power if I at least go with a shift kit? The trans in my gt shifts great and i haven't had any issues with it. This car has been my DD and about a week ago my 1994 z28 got rear ended and totaled so i have some money to make my DD a fast car as well.
So basically it all boils down to... Can I put a 3800 sc motor in my gt with the stock trans.

Thanks in advance
