I believe yours is plug and play so you would need 043. Mine was wired all the way into the main harness and thus had to be spliced in.

Just follow it up and double check what kind you have.

^yes, mine is definitely plug and play! dorman stated that they dont fit the grand prix, but they certainly look like the harness on my 98 gtp. i dont want to buy them and have to ship it back. would they work for the left and right side?

the picture of the 970-043 is not great! i tried searching and could not find anyone that used them on a gtp. everyone makes reference to the 970-042, the splice harness. i dont want to go this route.

well just get out there and look at your car, trace the harness and see if it unplugs or if it will need to be spliced. And if splicing is what makes you nervous, then order some posi-locks. They are easy to use and the equivalent of soldering (which I never can get right lol)

probably am not clear, like i said mine is definitely PLUGS! IT CAN BE DISCONNECTED AT THE WATER PUMP AREA. my question is, i need to know if anyone else have used the 970-043 harness? dorman states that it DONT fit the grand prix according to there vehicle fitment guide. can anyone verify if this 970-043 fits, if not where can i get the harness that do fit, other than going to the junkyard or dealership.

the 970-044 do not work. i removed all the wheel harnesses front and rear (yes the rear can also be discounted were the trailing arm mount to the frame). i used an ohm meter to check resistance or wire breakage. all the harnesses gave the same resistance. i put dielectric grease on them and reinstall. its been two weeeks and the light yet to return. it seems like the grease fixed the problem.
