Hello all. I'm David and I'm new to the forums. I own a 2004 Pontiac Grand Prix GT(2). Prior to that I owned a 1996 Grand Prix SE. Anyway, my 04 has recently decided to have a problem with the driver side, rear passenger seat belt.
The problem is that the seat belt is currently stuck with the belt completely, or fully pulled out, as the retractor mechanism seems to have either stuck, or the spring has broke. I was curious as to if any owner of a relative GP from this era/style/build has ever experienced such a problem.
If so, was it any easy fix? Are there any schematics on the layout of the rear where I can get a view of the seat belt's workings? If this was not an easy fix, how much am I looking to spend at a repair at a GM dealer or other mechanic?
