    Piston ring gaper?

Are you building an engine, and have file to fit rings?

You will want to use a tool like this:

(manual piston ring grinder) - you can get them cheap through Summit or Jegs.

And to check gap, one of these tools:

(feeler gauge) - any loclal hard wear store, no real mechanic should be with out one.
