2008 Grand Prix hesitates at highway speeds. Reduced engine power light came on then it really started hesitating. Tach read 1500 rpms at 55 mph. Any ideas?

Well it is most likely the throttle position sensor going bad. To my knowledge that requires replacing the whole throttle body. Or it could be the wiring going to the throttle body has been damaged. Or a very distant second, it could be your fuel pump not putting out enough pressure. Having your car scanned for codes should make it easy to tell which it is.

    Good luck.

    joeltonya,

cerick08GP offers a good suggestion. Another possibility is an issue with the electrical connector (moisture) on the left strut. These are just suggestions, not a diagnosis. I recommend taking the vehicle in for an inspection.

    Keep us posted.

I did take it down to my local parts store and had the code read. It said it was the throttle pedal position sensor.
