well i paid 7500 for mine "thought" i had got a deal.had it checked out by a friend of mine (ase) mechanic....guy had carfax report it was clean...2 weeks later i start havin tranny trouble.and all sorts of minor things here and there.oh well i still love gpgtp's.just another thing to get fixed.
Whenever the ABS light goes on, it sets a code, much like engine codes for the SES light. But you need to have a scanner that can read ABS codes. Most cannot. You need a Snap-On or GM Tech II scanner to read them. Find the codes, and it will tell you the problem.
yea mine goes off and then the first time i goto brake when driving it the brakes feel all weird it feels like they try to lock up and then the abs light kicks right back on, idk what it would be tho, changed the brakes all the way around, and bleed then so.. i am a little in the dark myself
Sounds like both of you are having issues with a bad wheel speed sensor. The codes are still stored, even though the light is off. It keeps a history for something like 60 key cycles. So get it scanned and get it taken care of.
The problem with just letting it go is that it will make your ABS act all weird. Sure doesn't seem like too much of a problem. But you never know what it is going to do under hard braking if you are having issues. Could lock one wheel up, and not the other, and send you into a spin. Not good when you just need to stop.
