What are some of the signs of a bad iac or tps. Are they in anyway related to the mass airflow sensor? 2000 gtp will start and die as soon as it tries to settle into idle. Brand new just installed maf and fuel pump resistor installed within the last 6 months, as well as new fuel filter. Running out of ideas as to what the problem is as this is a reaccuring problem. Any ideas?? i would appreciate any help

You check the vac T under the S/C snout? And yes, the IAC could cause this.

I use brake or carb cleaner too, so not sure what else there is. And with the MAF unplugged you will have to feather the throttle a bit before it will run on its own. Once the ECU figures out its not getting MAF input it will adjust. Just don't drive it this way too much and don't get into boost for sure.

Have you checked your fuel pressure? Maybe check the FPR. Pull the line off the FPR while it's not running and see if gas comes out of it. If so, then replace it.

still no progress. noticed exhaust smells very rich...way more so than usual. kept engine running by light application of throttle but dies immediately upon release. smooth engine shut off as if i turned the key off

bad fp resistor.. sick of hearing that? ha cars running fine after my trek to every local auto parts store and finally to the gm parts dealer... 65 bucks with one yr warranty... thanks for all the suggestions. still looking for a list of alternate mounting points for it since it seems to keep cracking in its current location on the driver side strut tower
