Ive been thinking, in my 1992 grand prix i have a 3.4 dohc which has 200 hp. The engine has not alot of mods available to it i want to do a swap to a 3800 supercharged to acomplish my main goal of getting roughly 300 hp by the end of the work. Is this a somewhat simple swap? Is it feasible to put this engine into a 1992 grand prix which is a richard petty might i add.

I was under the impression those engines could make that with some work.

a 3800 supercharged could make 300 CHP with headers and a pulley.

It'd still be pretty slow and on the verge of breaking stock 4t65e hard parts at that point.

Lot's of working going from a OBDI to OBDII engine. If you want an L67. I'm sure you could find an 3.8 supercharged OBDI from a bonneville. That would make wiring and a computer easier to do.

That only has 205 hp, but you could probably mod that engine easier than a DOHC. There aren't a lot of DOHC mods out there you can buy and bolt on.

if you did add a turbo or want to mod your 3.4 you would have to convert to OBD II anywyas becauase you would need to tune.
if youre going to do an engine swap might as well make it legit. the hardest part will probably be the wiring. when you do this swap though, your 4t60e will probably blow up very shortly, so youre going to need a new transmission.
