The BBV isn't flush with the blower outlet. It's about an inch raised. So making an intercooler out of phenolic almost seems impossible.

So far the budget isn't working out too bad...

    TVS with 3 pulleys $1200
    Adapter plate $300
    M62 for mockup $80
    Alt Relocation $60

Sold my GenV and pulleys/MPS for $700

So far this has cost me $940. I'm pretty confident that I wont need a whole lot more as there isn't much left to do.

Ok M62 not needed minus 80 bucks.
    1200 TVS + 300 Adapter + 60 Alt = 1560

Most people dont have a Gen5 and pullies to subtract from the cost as most cars unless already a Gen5 wont be able to recoupe those costs.
Have you seen what Gen5's go for in the FS threads? Try getting 700 for one again with pullies GL with that!

Ok so were back to $1560 I took out the Mock up cost of the M62 as you stated it wasnt needed ok I'll give you that.

Now wheres the cost of your cam? ZZP sells them for $325
You stated your using 60 lb injectors now wheres that cost? ZZP sells them for $250
Racetronix Fuel Pump at least say $100
Got headers? Add at least another $200ish for SD's

Still gonna need gaskets for cam install, wheres the cost of pullies, still going to need springs for that cam, wheres the cost for all these required to duplicate your build??

    So lets recap
    $1200 TVS + $300 Adapter + $60 alt relocate + $325 XP cam + $250 60# injectors $100 Fuel Pump + $200 Headers = Grand Total $2435!
Obviously I did not add in gaskets, springs, and pulley costs

Geee All of a sudden a turbo kit doesnt seem so damn expensive does it?
By the way a Z3 kit from ZZP costs $2300

I once got a cookie for free too so selling parts to deduct from the build makes ZERO sense, considering most people dont even have a Gen5 to start with..............

    Yep I still smell bullsh1t

I would take my setup over a stock engine, Z3 setup all day every day.

I think you forgot to add the cost of a Cam, Injectors, Fuel pump, Intercooler for that turbo, and Decent Blow-Off valve (Tial)
That shoots up the cost of a Z3 kit considerably.
Obviously the TVS is meant for people who have already maxed out a Gen3 or Gen5 M90 with the exception of Heads and or Intercooler.

    Now you're just trolling Tyler.

Sure but I listed retail prices and by the time you start selling parts to do your setup or a turbo route then cost factors get all skewed.
Its not nearly as cheap as you lead people on to do this setup.

I am honestly trying to find a common ground here and even your last post was YOUR opinion. That you'd rather have that over a turbo kit whoopie!

Since the dawn of time the object of a setup is to get a certiany goal, what is the car being built for? Dyno Whore? 1/4 mile car? Street Car? <<<< All 3 of those would make up entirely different setups.

My car would vaporize any other stock car with a z3 kit on it.

if you want to do list, you can say the TVS is 2250.

Thats the price of the base Z3 kit.

Maybe you need to go reasearch what a Z3 kit will make on a STOCK engine NIXON! lulz

And if I already have a S256 turbo, St2 cam, #60ers, L26 intake, and a FP rewire those get subtracted from my turbo setup cost like flake subtracting $700 from his setup right?

Nixon your last post as Nick (bluegtp) would say has a moot point!

and that 2300 is with stock injectors, no block off plate, no downpipe (definitely needed, i assume most people dont have TOGs), no boost controller (these are pretty cheap though), no shorter dog bones, no intercooler. Id be surprised to see someone make 300 HP on stock injectors. You cant go to the site and say 2300 for a turbo. thats like saying you can top swap for $300 since thats what a LIM, M90, and heads cost.

Youre right, i realized this after posting, Ill adjust. Cancel out injectors on both sides. Add headers to supercharger side. cancel out tuning for both sides. cancel out cam/install from both sides>>subtract 30-40 HP from snows dyno for no cam. You do the math. I think it comes out about even. Definitely not a big enough difference to have a p***ing contest.

This has always has been about TVS vs M90.
The swap has effectively rendered heads/IC/GenV useless.

You can now make the same power with just a blower swap.
