Ok I got a new HID kit off eBay. Its a really nice kit, I decided to go with the Slim digital ballast model with the 9007-2 HID low and Halogen high beam setup.

The install was a breeze and they actually turn on the first time the lights come on. Unlike my craptastic WBody HIDs I use to have in my car. It was really direct plug and play with no splicing or slicing involved. HOWEVER, the order to which the high beam and low beams work are out of balance.

Meaning that when I have high beam clicked on the steering column and you see the blue high beam indicator active, the HIDs light up and the foglights go out. And when you click the level on the steering column to goto low beam, the Halogen high beams and the foglights turn on and the HIDs go off.

Does anyone have any clue as to why this is happening? I hope maybe BackInBlack will see this post as well and someone can chime in and help with this issue. Its not a major issue, but an annoying one.

Here is the kit I purchased off eBay if anyone is interested in it. They have an awesome Rating and pretty decent customer service as far as I can tell given all the emails sent back and forth between me and them.

eBay Motors: Xenon HID Conversion Kit Slim Ballast H1/H3/H4/H7/9006 (item 200242551282 end time Aug-03-08 12:22:01 PDT)

Any help is appreciated. Thanks for listening.

From what I know, you need to pull two of the wires out of the connector and switch them. Not sure which ones or anything. But I know I read a post about it either her or CGP

i dont like the slim ballast because you still have to mount the resistor in front of it. anyways, the connectors have to be switched around on the ballast. they dont tell you which side goes in what so usually its hook it up see if it lights, then switch em up. the ones i bought off this group buy are pretty good ill take some pics when the sun goes down. hey geddy you ever watch Aqua Teen Hunger Force?

Will it help I take pictures of the wiring to show you all to better guide me to which wires I need to change? Cause at this point I have no clue which wires you are referring to.

the wire from the light bulb to the ballast is crossed. turn the connector around and plug it back in. they don't key them right or wrong so it will fit both ways but one way doesn't work

Ok thanks to Qwik I was able to figure out the problem. I didnt have to swich any wiring on the ballast, but I did have switch the wiring on the connector that lead to the factory plugin. It seems for whatever reason, the company had the High beam and Low beam wiring backwards. Here is a picture of the BEFORE and a diagram of what I had to do to undo the problem.

Here are some more of the pictures of the HIDs and a little bit of the setup. The slim ballasts made hiding them easy. And unlike the WBody one's these puppies fire right up and dont flicker. Yeah it musta been a "ground issue."

In this picture you can see the Halogen High beam and the HID Low Beam. Obviously the Halogen High Beam isn't going to be blind anyone, but at least now my car will pass state inspections cause it has High Beams again

Sweet. I just ordered a set, but not from the same people. But still from ebay. So I will see how they look when they arrive. Hopefully they work as well as yours!

Cool...I think that is the infamous 9004/9007 issue...IIRC 9004's are backwards from 9007's I think BackinBlack brought it up in his HID thread.
