Sometimes, not all the time, when i go to turn on the heat in my car, i get a LOUD screeching sound coming from them. Is this cause my AC compressor is bad or is something else wrong?

Get the same one that comes with the car. Which is delphi I believe. Seems like everything else is too loud or vibrates the dash.

Mine did the same thing. I actually pulled the blower motor out. Took the case apart cleaned it out and lubed the shafts with grease. It's been working great ever since. I know I'm probably on borrowed time but still it's working and only took about 15 minutes.

I should do this. Aftermarket one whines a bit.

But yeah... are you sure one of your vents isn't closed or half closed or something? Maybe clogged with air fresheners that fell in?
Irridium spark plugs last 100k mi and work just as well as copper. Copper is a waste on N/A and only lasts 15k mi. Don't use Platinum.
Use 195* tstat unless you can thoroughly explain why not; 99.9% don't need a lower temp.
Almost any oil filter, ever, is of higher quality than ACDelco. Spend $6+.

I find if the vents are closed and pointed all the way down, they make a whistling noise.

If they're closed, have them facing forward, not up or down at all.

No it isn't a whistling sound, its an intense (lightly vibrating) squeal as if somethings loose
