    Hi folks.

I am no expert when it comes to the tech of the 3800 so I need to turn to you for the help. My wife is letting me get a complete exhaust system put on my 04 Comp-G for Christmas. I have a few holes in the exhaust and I can see one of my mufflers hanging a bit lower that the other. So its time to get it all replaced.

I am interested in replacing the manifolds all the way to the tail pipes for supporting mods when I decide to upgrade the pulley and stuff later on. So what are my options here? I see on ZZPs website they have plogs, headers, downpipes, catted, non catted, etc etc.

Would a catless DP really help any? What kind of codes or pcm issues can I expect when doing this? Also price is somewhat of a factor I dont need the 600 dollar headers that may give me a few extra HP over the 150 dollar plogs. So im looking for the most bang for the buck that will a great supporting mod for down the road mods.

I appriciate everyones time and opinions.

    Speed Daddy headers from EBay.

    Catless.

    $200.

Glasspack for a resonator $30~ (Long one, like 26"+)

Tips of your choice, mufflers like SLP, Borla, Magnaflow, Dynomax Super Turbo's (Are VERY quiet)

Also, link in my signature...read it.

    helps control drone.

Granted it is the style that actually does something versus the perf tube.

I dont like the farting sound that the v6 will make if its just straight exhaust. I have seen alot of youtube videos with res' removed and all you hear is popping and rasp. I understand that a v6 has this by nature but to be able to minimize this would be nice.

Does removing the res really help with performance? I like the glasspack idea.

If I go catless then what would I do with the O2 sensor that is behind the cat?

^^^ delete it by a tune or run a sim
just make sure you get an o2 extension harness for when the headers go in
