I have a 2000 GTP. I'm having a little issue with my rebuilt trans finding first gear sometimes. The guy who rebuilt the transmission told me the pcm in the car isn't the one that came in the car. they tried to reprogram the pcm to stock, but I'm not sure it worked - (it was at a GM dealership though). I'd like to try replacing it with a stock pcm in an attempt to fix the shifting. I'd rather spend $100 trying something than to give it back to him and have him chase a ghost.
I'm getting sick of this transmission situation, since I spent $1,200 to have it rebuilt.

Your pcm is in your air intake under the filter.

Yes. PCM is an abreviaton of Powertrain Control Module.

Oh, thanks. Even though I've replaced the intake gaskets, removed and installed the transmission, and painted the bumpers and deck - I'm a little bit computer stupid. I'm from the carburetor era.
