You know that you could have hooked the amp up with the stock head unit right?
too late brian.. its over now lol
ok so i wired the old harness back in and still no heat or anything. So should i turn to fuses? Which ones? I want to fix it myself otherwise I will just pay someone I know to fix it...
Check all them. You could have blown one. Easy fix.
How do you hook up the amp to the stock radio? Also it was the radio battery fuse that was bad. I tried to find A stock one at the local yard with no success so I might be able to borrow a friends but he says the cd player doesnt always work so I don't know whAt to do about it
So how do I hook up tue amp to the stock stereo and make the cd player work? I just wanna know because I want to pick it up tomorrow and work on it..
The same way you would an amp to an aftermarket HU. The only difference is that you need line out converter(s) for the RCA signal. Or, if the amp has high level inputs on it, you can use that.
In my opinion, The line out converters that use the rear speaker wires are the best for keeping the stock head unit.
Should look something like this little guy
Pac Audio SNI-50A Adjustable High Power Line Output Converter
Oh...yeah that'll be fine.
Ok so I got a new head unit and started this thread looking for help on fixing stuff...
