    i had a 97 gt and i put that motor in a 01 body and i have a 01 wireharness and the plug on the tranny by the vacume and what dose the plug do or what can i do to make it work

    The 97 had a different trans then the 01
    04 comp G, front/rear towerbraces, pacesetters, ported sc, LIM, 3.3 pulley, 1.9 mod rockers, Ls1 springs and retainers, custom dyno tune, 180 tstat, shortned dog bones, full poly mounts, zzp shift kit, custom fwi, 28inch cherry bomb, flowmaster 40's. 290whp 380wtq before the button. coldfusion n2o, 60 shot. I haz corvette brakezand gxp cluster! smgpfc028

    Is their anyway around it like to rewire the plug or what dose the plug do is it the electrionc shift?

    Its wired for a different trans, so there's no real way around it

    The 97's transmissions rely on vacuum, where the latter years are electronic. Find a 98 trans at a junkyard or install the 97 harness.

    03 GTP...Its got pulleys and stuff.

    Do u know what the plug dose? And could I cut that plug off and hard wire the 97 plug on for it to work?

    Not sure, you'd need the pin-outs and you'd prolly still have to use the 97 pcm.

    03 GTP...Its got pulleys and stuff.

    That wouldn't work. You'd be missing some lines and have too many of others.

    Ok well could anyone tell me what it dose and I have all the vacuum line on just stuck on the plug. The 97 plug has like 7 wires and the 01 plug has like 12 or something like that orcan anybodytell me where I can find a wire digram for both years?
