So I have this gurgling noise coming from the heater core under heavy acceleration. So how does air bubbles get in there and what is broke?

Is your overflow jug up to the full line? Make sure the radiator and overflow jug has the proper amount of antifreeze in it. Then bleed the system or do a coolant flush.

    And smile it's Blacktooth Grin!

How do you "bleed" the coolant?
