If your referring to the elbows the run threw the tensioner they are a pain as they are tight fit and the alternator may or may not get in the way I just removed my alternator when mine cracked

um they aren't that hard.... but if you didn't remove the alt. I could see why you say that

Yeah if your lazy and do not take of the alt your probably SOL. I only claim it as a pain because I has to replace the whole tensioner at that time tight fit when you have large hands. My tensioner pulley bolt snapped. Not sure how it managed that. But it was no fun.

i just replaced these about 2 weeks ago had the lim out changing gaskets out so it took a little bit of yellin and cussin but came out with no problem. i do see how trying to do this with out either bring in the middle of removing lim or removing the alt could turn into a pretty big headache

That's because it's reverse thread. Loosen the opposite way that you relive pressure on the belt.

On the cussing and screaming about the the elbows. I hear some Jeff Dunham phrase...lol Seriously though. It's loosen a belt, pull the alt and a few other bolts. Wiggle, lube and tighten.
I drink..so consider that when reading my posts.
