TVS is supposed to be quieter as they're designed for OE applications.
Sub 3" pulley should negate that though...

Should have waited for the 1650 to come out. IF it ever does.
Which it probably wont.
100AX wouldnt be a bad choice.
If they sold them that is.
Can't blame him for trying. That's how it starts. Get an idea, make it work, and record the benefits. I don't think other vendors used the tvs as it rare and expensive. Instead they picked the what was avail on production cars and improved it on via porting or intercooling. The whipple , and m112 , seem too big for these motors. That seemed to be the end , then it went to turbos. No one really wanted to drop $$ going backwards Let's see what it does , I'm curious to see as well.
Sick burn, brah!
As much as I dislike SLoW SHO. I really hope that he's on to something with all this and not just trying to antagonize everyone like usual. All of his info does make sense too. And if his calculations are correct, you could have a basic bolt-on L67 that has 300whp with just the addition of this TVS1320 blower. Imagine being able tell people that your supercharged GTP/regal ect. has that much power with stock cam/heads and NON IC'd! That blower doesn't even look much different than a M90 even. I just hope something good comes out of this.
Too big?
Meh, That's where ported heads, lower compression, E85, intercoolers, meth injection come into play...
Troy made over 500 WHP on his W140AX setup years ago, until Minichopper screwed him out of his one off intercooler core and I don't think the car even runs anymore. Whipple cars make buttloads of power, but you NEED the excessive and cooling mods to make it work efficiently...where in a turbo would make more HP per $ at that point.
^^ agree u need extensive mods. and minichopper no good? hmmm I used to get parts powder coated from him a while back, ill keep that in mind.
But Im not gonna put foot in mouth, Ill just sit back and watch the show. I dont want to discourage anyone , even if he is a punk. Let him figure it out on his time and dime. Only thing we gain is free r&d = )
Not to get off topic, but yeah...Logan was banned here for scamming multiple people right after the TDC Racing scandal.
i think the point of this swap is maybe everyone doesn't want to take their heads off, build a motor, have access to e85 or want to run meth. if what Nick is saying is true, anyone with a bolt on 3800 can just straight swap for the tvs and pick up good power while maintaining a stock like drivability and without tearing into the engine.
anyway can you answer my PM?
You can ask Nick yourself, I'm sure he can answer it.
Also, so far...unless he prodcuces the plates/adapters and all the stuff you need to make the TVS work...so far, it isn't just "bolt-on".
And upgrading a blower your still going to need flow mods...you can't expect to gain anything with letting the motor breathe when your trying to force more air into it....more efficient or not.
That's the part that isn't understood by Nick though.
Alt relocation
Adapter plate (which is currently on it's third version? maybe a cardboard mock up would have helped?)
Fuel rail solution
TB adapter
Different pullies than most are running (should be readily accessible though)
A Gen V is much more bolt up in those respects. Open a LIM, get a TB adapter and your done in most cases. That's why most do it. It's a very simple upgrade. Is it the best, heck now.
It will also be tough to gauge the true results with Nicks info. He's cammed etc at this point. Therefore the change in power delta may be larger than it should be for a stock motor.
Did he have any luck getting his "fried" DHP fixed?
Try to find a TVS1320 for sale right now. I see that Slow says he picked on up for $1200 but good luck finding one for that. Not to mention its a Harrop TVS1320 which is not the same at the generic TVS1320 from Eaton. They are going to be few and far between. Look what they sell for new:
Harrop TVS Supercharger - Over The Top Performance
For that much money your are in Turbo land. OR:

I just think it is going to boil down cost per HP...and it isn't going to be worth it.
i accept your challenge because i want to do this swap as well if the power is there. this is what i found in the last 5 minutes

Slow got a super deal on the blower he got and 3 pulleys.
Not to mention they don't mention pulleys in many of those threads.
If it works more power to you and I hope it works! I wouldn't put all your eggs in the basket just yet though.
like everyone else I'm just waiting to see if it works and if it makes good power. i don't think anyone is going to argue that its not a better blower. aren't people spending like 1000+ on gen3 to gen5 swaps for 10-15hp?
I did a top swap with a Gen V and didn't even spend $1000. Probably paid a little over $600 and that's only because I needed extra parts that don't come on a L36.
I agree it looks like a better blower and the rotors are better for sure. But back to previous statements, Is it going to be a good price/horse power ratio mod? We will see
Honestly the more I look at it the better the Lysholm 1600ax is looking. Even the LSJ guys are saying that. Although it would take more fab because it doesn't have the nice inlet like the Harrop one has.
