Very nice work, looks great. Hope you finish yours, I never did. I had a write up on CGP, cant' find it now.
i did a similar thing back in 2004, but i took out the black lines too.
gonna have to find that old thread.
i was going to put sequential LED turn signals in, got this far, and never finished it due to my job.

here's mine from back in the day
I ground off the black lines inside, polished it until clear again, then painted the rest of the lens to match the car, leaving a clear space for a strip of LEDs that would sweep on and off in the direction of the turn signal. The left side has the same "ceiling light lens" material you used, and the right is just clear.

and an early video of the controller.

I started drawing up plans for the LED controller in 1999, got busy, picked up again in '04/05, had a kid, played around again in '08 (date of the video) and have been kinda busy with life every since. Someday I'll finish these, and they'll be awesome. Lets just say I was less than thrilled to see that the new mustangs have this from the factory, because when it is done, now I've copied the mustang. oh well.

^^interesting and different,, someone should start up a tail light thread with different style tail.... I just threw an thin led strip under my tail lights that light up with the brakes and flashes with my turn signals. One night I actually had someone drive by me and yell "nice tails" lol. (sorry, no vid of that so you'll have to take my word)
Dang I like those tails and the board u made. I imagine it wasnt easy takin the black lines out, I looked at mine when I did it and was like ehh lol.
Ya I like hearing and seeing other people's tails that aren't just tinted, even tho I made a set of tinted tails too haha
